MUTI-ROOMS RENOVATION PROJECT
We love taking multi-room renovation projects, as we can create a balance and harmony throughout the whole house! There are so many elements involved in this project, and thanks to my wonderful clients who were always supportive and comprehending my decisions. We took a very aesthetic and practical approach to this entire renovation journey.
PROJECT INCLUDES
PLANNING STAGE
We started with understanding for my clients about their Vision and usage of various rooms , we understood their lifestyle and the horse they would dedicate in each room. We made 2D/3D plans and layouts giving them many options to choose from. We had productive long meetings about the best layout and execution time.
DESIGN AND INSPIRATION
My clients wanted earthy, neutral colors but also some areas to be very attractive and bold. We exactly designed the space to their liking and our inspiration was open spaces and large windows, Classic and timeless design,Rich colors, patterns, and textures, wood inspired mid-century furniture, clean lines, organic shapes, and functional design., Asian inspired artwork and paintings.
Room-by-Room Breakdown
To begin with, we knocked down a non-load bearing wall to create an open space according to their liking. We created an art-deco style foyer, revamped the bathrooms and brought in much more lights to various rooms, by adding beautiful wall and ceiling fixtures.
Living Room
Totally mid century modern living room, with a bold accent color to go with their beautiful painting. The patterns and textures are the wallpapers, patterned rugs, with beautiful ceiling fixtures!
DINING Room
We knocked down a non-load bearing wall to create an open dining space complimenting and facing the luxurious living room.
We brought colors and textures to this room by putting in a hand woven Boho style rug, mid-century chandelier and complimenting with black and blue mid-century chairs.
The entire effect is such an art deco, mid century modern feel !
Bedrooms
The master bedroom is beautifully decorated with warm earthy colors, a gorgeous rug, an attractive bench , wood based bedside tables with rattan style bed to compliment with the mid-century dresser!
Bathrooms
Bathrooms were a total gut renovation, with old tiles, materials and fixtures all discarded and adorned with luxurious marble looking porcelain tiles, Kohler fixtures, beautiful glass lights, stunning mirrors, frameless and ultra-clear shower doors !
FOYER
The Foyer is a bold looking mid-century modern look with a Thibaut high quality wallpaper giving a Bold look of Eucalyptus green from Benjamin Moore walls with a mid-century Console table and brass mirror complimenting with a luxurious velvet bench!
HOMEOFFICE
By choosing a well balanced wallpaper and a Nice 2 door bookshelf, we have raised the bar of this in-home tranquil office space.
Challenges Faced
Like any other home remodel, we did face challenges like, we were in the middle of covid and we faced delay of goods and materials , we had delay of tiles, wallpaper, bathroom fixtures. Luckily we got permits fast and We still managed to skim through it and can’t believe we were delayed by just 2 weeks!
DIY Projects
My Clients are so meticulous and creative in the DIY projects that they actually put up the wallpaper in their home-office themselves and it’s again looking so soothing and gorgeous!
Overcoming Challenges
Like every home renovation. We did face several challenges in this project. Like removing the original sheetrock from the bathrooms due to water damages, which was not anticipated.. Also the village permits took a bit longer to arrive and we could not start the work until then, but in spite of these hurdles, yes we could almost finish within the time-frame.
Budget and Cost Management
Creating beautiful designs and maintaining the budget is a challenge for every designer, but GOOD designers overcome this with tactfully created planning and formulas in place. This is a very much in place, cost efficient ,stunning and gorgeous renovation.
Final Reveal
The final reveal was absolutely breathtaking, with every detail coming together in perfect harmony. I am very proud that with the help of my skillfully talented team we could create a harmonious, joyful, transformative and radiant place for my client!
